I motion that scouting report buying of any EAFL member is illegal in EAFL leagues...

Re: Starting a Motion for Madden 11 (Link Included)

No support from me on this one Zan...it doesn't show plays ran, just tendencies...its a great idea to see how players play, but not what they actually do...makes people really gameplan, mix up their play calling...nothing wrong with this...

Re: Starting a Motion for Madden 11 (Link Included)

I'm not really scared of being scouted. I just wanna put that disclaimer down. I've run some exotic ish this season. I've run America's offense at times, as well. I try to run several looks a year....

I just think it's yet another EA cop out to bring the lower tiered players to the top without them putting in the same hard work that the top guys are doing.

Re: Starting a Motion for Madden 11 (Link Included)

by season 3 of 2010 you see pretty much everything.... and you see copying(probably even earlier)... Really with being able to watch highlights you have all you need to copy.

For years on ps2 they had nice break downs. I think 360 had been doing it to a degree but you could eaisly find tendencies of your opponant.

this isnt much of anything to me.

Re: Starting a Motion for Madden 11 (Link Included)

this seems like one of those things that seems really cool at first, but when the actual game comes around, you find that it has no practical use. (right stick QB dodging in this year's game, for example)

edit: yea... the game tells you when you are being scouted... how stupid is that. completely defeats the purpose of it. obviously you call an original play, after knowing that.

Re: Starting a Motion for Madden 11 (Link Included)

Like some others already said in this thread; scouting reports aren't new at all to Madden; it's just that this version can be used during a game. It's nice to see what tendencies your opponents have, but players are still ultimately responsible for having the right scheme/plays to stop/contain what's coming. More advanced players will obviously "adjust to the adjustment" made by their opponents scouting them, and that's when the chess game starts; each and every game that's played is it's own entity.

YEa dont mind this at all, wont change the game much really.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able, and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God.

Re: Starting a Motion for Madden 11 (Link Included)

lol yeah this is basically for middle school kids who dont know anything about football and cant tell that your throwing to just 2 guys the whole game or whatever. If you really think about it, if people were to actually enter in all of there stats for league games, you would have your scouting report right there lol. For example if you do any research on me this season in the majors, then you know im running with DeAngelo 80-90% of the game lol its up to you to figure out how to stop it and for me to switch up my game once I see you make the adjustment.

in short, the feature wont matter for players with common sense
