Madden 10 eBook Announcement

TML's first eBook will be released tomorrow. It will be an offensive strategy guide that covers the NE playbook. The play "Y Shake" that was put in the lab last night was taken from the guide and can be used as a sample of what to expect.

Madden 10 is about being able to make good playcalls and run a real offense. You can no longer rocket catch up and down the field. This guide does not use the rocket catch, but there is a section detailing how to rocket catch on the PS3 if you wish to learn it.

I basically have done nothing but play Madden since I got it. I sat in practice mode forever coming up with these schemes. Then I tested them against live competition, and adjusted them accordingly, until I could score effortlessly against every type of defense that I could possibly face. By my standards, that means I have to score a TD every possession of each game, while making it feel easy doing so.

Anyway, the NE guide is all but done. I will be adding some finishing touches until it is ready to be released tomorrow.

I did it on the PS3 (captured the media), but as far as the plays go they work the same on both. The only difference is that the 360 has LT passing and the PS3 does not. I obviously did not include any strats for LT passing. As far as rocket catching goes on the PS3, the animation is there but it is done differently and takes much more stick. I included a demo on how to perform it in the guide, but I did not include rocket catching in any of the plays. I wanted to come up with a scheme that did not rely on rocket catching at all.

Good questions. There was a free sample sent out in our newsletter. You can sign up for it on the front page. You also get some free tips (currently 09, but will be update with 10 tips soon).

As for as why I choose NE, I literally went through every playbook in practice mode at least once, and looked at every single play in the game. I got a list of 10 books I liked a lot and labbed them more until I finally settled on NE. I felt this book has the most un**ue plays in the game. This allowed me to include a lot of content. In other words, I was able to find good plays out of many different formations so that everyone can mold this playbook to fit their style instead of forcing people to run it exactly as I do.
