Re: Drew Brees Gets another Saints First
actually, they are a better team personnel-wise. younger, faster, more athletic. actually better LB's. Boley is twice the OLB that Mitchell was.
There were questions then, there are questions now....health is a bit of a concern but we'll see how that all ends up. to tell you the truth, stats-wise the '08 team was better than both, but none of that matters. the best team of the 3 years was 1 and done..... it's all about a playoff run. any given sunday is exactly what happens.....all those stats, all the wins, all the hype, means nothing for 60 minutes of playoff football.... posied for a 10-6/11-5 wildcard year as we were in our SB run. going through the same BS we did, same inconsistant crap, losing to philly as usual, getting swept by the Cowboys that year, not winning the division, getting hot towards the end of the season is the only step left....so uh yeah....it's gearing up to look pretty similiar. as I said in 07', guess we'll sit back and wait and see how it all turns out. if you would of asked me then (along with the rest of the country) I would of said our chances of a SB berth, nevermind win were next to nothing with that personnel....but thats the beauty, cause once you make the tourney, everyone's 0-0 and none of this means ****.

Re: Drew Brees Gets another Saints First
Nah I like when people say the packers are gonna lose. Just like the dallas game, I love when people say a over rated baltiiomore team is just gonna walk up to lambeau field and kill us. lol.

they're not going to kill you, it'll be worth watching, but you won't win either of those games, i don't care if they were played on Mars, GB isn't going to keep up with the physical AFC north, they just aren't. take a look at my sig, and let me know how that home field advantage is working for you...lot of green and gold in that picture....

Re: Drew Brees Gets another Saints First
id take the vikes over the saints...eventually the wheels are gonna fall off the bus for the saints d and the vikings are equall or better in almost every crucial position...anyone can make a case for favre or brees to be mvp so that is even..rbs go to vikes by a huge margin..wrs is about even if rice keeps up his nasty work and harvin too...and special teams is def in vikes favor better K and better returning game

they play a lot like the giants (in theory) except they can actually execute. They play a lot of coverage and expect pressure from an amazing front 4. well, giants play this same football (sort of) and it's just not enough against an offense like the saints. if you think about the teams that have had the most success against brees, it came down to pressure teams like the jets and dolphins. teams that bring overload, speed, exocit, zone-type blitzes can shut down that passing game. the point is, like the jets did, you got to get to him quick, because if you rely on speedy DE's and a push in the middle from you DT's you're never going to get there in time. Brees is too good against the zone, he'll pick you apart. i think the saints would win the game convincily, 38-21.....i really dont think the Vikes can score with the Saints when they are clicking on all cylinders
